The differences between genuine leather and microfiber boxing gloves liein their materials, durability, and maintenance.
Genuine Leather: Made from the hide of animals, typically cowhide. Leather is a natural material known for its toughness and flexibility. Leather gloves tend to withstand extensive use and retain their quality over time if properly maintained.
Microfiber: Made from synthetic fibers designed to mimic the properties of leather. Microfiber is a man-made material that can vary in quality but is generally engineered for specific performance characteristics.
Mongkol offers various types of boxing gloves that serve different training purposes.
• Training Gloves: For general training, including bag work and pad work. (ex. BGM01,BGM02)
• Sparring Gloves: Softer and designed for sparring with a partner to minimize injury. (ex. BGM01,BGM04)
• Bag Gloves: Designed for heavy bag work, typically more durable with denser padding. (ex. BG001)
• Competition Gloves: Lighter and used in official matches. (ex. BGML01)
Boxing gloves are measured in ounces (oz) and typically range from 8 oz to 20 oz. The right size depends on your weight, the type of training, and personal preference. Common guidelines are:
• 8-10 oz: Generally used for competition.
• 12 oz: Common for women and those with smaller hands.
• 14 oz: Often used for general training and sparring.
• 16 oz: Standard for sparring and general training for most adults.
• 18-20 oz: Used by larger individuals or for extra protection during sparring.
